Universal Pictures Picks Up a Christmas Thriller Titled VIOLENT NIGHT from the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Writers
Universal Pictures has acquired a Christmas thriller feature film pitch from Sonic The Hedgehog scribes Pat Casey and Josh Miller.
The film will be titled Violent Night, and it is described as “an elevated thriller set against the Christmas holiday backdrop.” There are no other details on the story to share, so it’s hard to tell what to expect.
I hate when these projects are announced and there’s so little information on them! Give us a brief logline or something! Something to spark some kind of opinion.
Sonic The Hedgehog was a fun movie, but it’s not like the script for it was anything great. Who knows, though, maybe they’ve come up with something cool.
The movie will be produced by 87North’s Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, and Annie Marter. This team has also worked on Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.
