Universal to Adapt FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Author E.L. James' New Romance Novel THE MISTER for the Big Screen
After a heated bidding war, Universal has picked up the rights to the romance novel The Mister from Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James.
Variety reports that the story follows “a wealthy British aristocrat who falls in love with his Albanian housekeeper, unaware that she is on the run from human traffickers.” James will be on board to produce the film after having produced each of her other feature adaptations.
The author has proven to be a big draw in print, as well as at the box office, so this is probably another lucrative move for the studio.
