Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2024 Haunted Houses Ranked and Video!

It was another great year at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights! My daughter and I attended the opening night event this year, and it’s always a great and fun way to kick off the Halloween season!

We went through all of the mazes at the event, shot some video footage and I’ve ranked the mazes for you in case you’re wondering what they are offering this year.

I’ve listed the haunted houses from best to worst.

Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines:

An all-female monsters led haunted house inspired by Universal Pictures’ classic monsters, featuring music by Slash.

Fans encounter Saskia Van Helsing, a new fearless huntress and daughter of revered Abraham Van Helsing – who killed Count Dracula by driving a stake through his heart and destroying his reign of terror. Saskia now faces Dracula’s daughter, Countess Marya, who arose from the dead to seek revenge for her father and destroy the Van Helsing bloodline.

With a mission to kill, Dracula’s daughter, from 1936’s Dracula’s Daughter, forms a deadly alliance with the She-Wolf, inspired by the 1946 film She-Wolf of London, and Anck-Su-Namun, from the 1932 film The Mummy – only to be intercepted by Saskia and an unlikely ally, The Bride of Frankenstein.

The terrifying adventure will take guests on a journey between the hunted and the hunters in a life and death battle with only one bloodline left to survive.

Dead Exposure: Death Valley:

An original concept house with petrifying radioactive zombies.

Enter a top-secret government facility where an experiment to create super soldiers has gone horribly wrong, turning people into radioactive zombies. And they escape just as you arrive!

You’ll wind through a covert government facility where officials are creating super soldiers. Unfortunately, everything goes haywire right as you arrive. And you’ll soon discover that, instead of super soldiers, the facility has (accidentally) created an army of radioactive zombies. Best of luck escaping!

Insidious: The Further:

Based on the latest films in the hit supernatural horror film series produced by Blumhouse Productions in association with Sony Pictures.

Don’t get trapped in The Further as terrifying demons try to ensnare you. Enter the Red-Faced Demon’s lair behind The Red Door. And try to keep away from KeyFace, so he can’t lock up your spirit.

Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America:

A sequel to the 2023 hit haunted house.

Resist the infernal rider El Charro or he’ll take your soul. Don’t turn your back on the devil dog El Cadejo or you’ll be lost forever. And you’d better behave or the boogeyman El Cucuy will get you.

In “Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America,” El Muerte will return to guide you through a graveyard of mythic monsters, including the soul-stealing rider, El Charro; the supernatural, doglike spirit El Cadejo, who roams quiet roads at night in search of prey; and the child-eating bogeyman, El Cucuy.

The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy:

An immersive experience curated by the multi-award-winning artist.

The Weeknd returns in a new haunted house spawned from After Hours, Dawn FM and a horrifying new tale. Get ensnared by the most iconic moments inspired by his music videos and live performances.

It provides fans an authentic, one-of-a-kind horror experience with surprises at every turn and music by The Weeknd scored by seminal producer, artist, and seven-time Grammy® award winner Mike Dean.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre:

The Legacy of Leatherface: Which pays tribute to the 50thanniversary of the iconic maniacal monster.

The haunted house will debut an all-new storyline celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the original 1974 slasher film. Set in an abandoned slaughterhouse, visitors will encounter the many iterations of Leatherface from all nine films in the franchise, dodging his relentless chainsaw at every turn.

Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse:

A terrifying experience taking fans on a close encounter with characters from Blumhouse Production’s popular franchises, including M3GAN, The Black Phone, Freaky, The Purge and Happy Death Day.

Universal Studios Hollywood’s exclusive Terror Tram is back with a vengeance. On “Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse,” horror fans will set off on the Universal Studios backlot and encounter some of the most frightening characters from Blumhouse’s popular franchises, including M3GAN, The Black Phone, Freaky, The Purge and Happy Death Day.

A Quiet Place:

A terrifying new experience based on Paramount Pictures’ critically acclaimed franchise that will incorporate American Sign Language (ASL) into a haunted house for the very first time.

Silence your screams if you want to survive the terrifying, post-apocalyptic world. Like the Abbott family, you must keep quiet as you travel from the farmhouse to the woods, to the foundry. As soon as you make a sound, monstrous creatures who can hear the slightest noise, will hunt you down and silence you for good.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire:

Inspired by Sony Picture’s latest installment of the Ghostbusters franchise.

A bone-chilling new specter, Garraka, has escaped from an ancient artifact. He’ll stop you cold with a whole army of ghosts. Try not to freeze in fear as you dodge spears of ice and he freezes people solid before your eyes. The Ghostbusters must team up to save the world from a second Ice Age.

They also had some fun scare zones at the park including Luchadores Monstruosos; Skull Lordz, a scare zone featuring a gothic inspired royal court of the dead; Chainsaw Punkz, a troop of chainsaw killers will confront guests as they enter the event; and Murder of Crowz, a flock of menacing crow stilt-walkers will terrify guests. All of which were fun!
