Unsettling New Trailer for the Supernatural Child Horror Thriller THE PRODIGY
“Mommy… will you always love me, no matter what I do?”
Orion Pictures has released a creepy new trailer for their upcoming horror thriller The Prodigy. It looks like it could end up being a decent horror flick!
The movie stars Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black), and she takes on the role of Sarah, a mother whose gifted young son Miles is possessed by some kind of evil supernatural force. As you might expect, that leads to some disturbing behavior.
“Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what – or who – is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry.”
The Prodigy comes from director Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact, At Devil’s Door) and screenwriter Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train, Pet Sematary remake).
The cast also includes Jackson Robert Scott (It), Peter Mooney (Burden of Truth, Rookie Blue), and Colm Feore (Thor, Pearl Harbor) round out the supporting cast.
The movie opens in theaters on February 8th, 2019.
