Unused Concept Art For War Machine in AVENGERS: ENDGAME Shows Him With Rocket Boosters
I’ve got some cool concept art for an unused design for War Machine in Avengers: Endgame. As you can see, this design comes with a couple of rocket boosters on his back. This was going to be a “cosmic” suit for the character. The art was shared by artist Phil Saunders, who said:
Unused concept for Rhodey’s War Machine Mk5 “Cosmic” suit for Avengers:Endgame. Originally the final battle would have taken place in outer space so I developed this booster pack for what was at the time the approved Mk5 design.
It would have been interesting to see this suit brought to life in the film. It’s a pretty cool design, but I’m not sure how the rockets would have been utilized. Check out the concept art below:
