Up Your NERF Collection for New Items for Younger Kids, DUNGOENS & DRAGONS, and More
NERF has made a number of exciting announcements over the last week or so. For starters, they announced the new NERF Elite Junior line of products aimed at children as young as 6 years old.
This includes the Rookie Pack ($24.99) with an 8-dart drum Rambler blaster plus 4 targets and 32 darts; the Voyager Target Set ($17.99) which offers a 2-dart blaster along with two targets and 20 darts; the Explorer ($12.99) with a 4-dart blaster; the Flyer ($9.99) which stores up to 4 darts, but only fires one at a time; and the Ultimate Starter Set ($19.99) which has two blasters (Cadet and Scoutfire) along with 15 darts. All of these are available now from major retailers and look like a great way to enjoy family time.
I know over the holiday break I got together with a bunch of my family and we had a NERF war in the house. It was one of the most fun things I’ve done in a long time.
If you’re looking for something a bit more mature, NERF more recently made a few other announcements. The Pro Gelfire Legion Blaster ($19.99) gives you spring action priming so you don’t have to worry about batteries and the slam fire action fires rounds in a continuous stream. It has a 130-round capacity hopper and comes with 5,000 dehydrated projectiles that burst on impact. It also has a trigger lock to prevent accidental firing and protective eyewear for safety.
Dungeons & Dragons fans of NERF can grab a few blasters as well this spring to help promote Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The Palarandusk ($11.99) is a Microshots blaster that is inspired by the gold dragon Palarandusk that guards Neverwinter. It comes with 2 darts and is very simple to use.
Meanwhile, the Rakor ($16.99) blaster launches 2 darts in a row and is inspired by the black dragon from the world of D&D. You’ll get 4 darts with this blaster.
The third D&D blaster is Themberchaud ($27.99). This crossbow blaster fires a single dart and is inspired by the red dragon of the Underdark. The flexible tail can wrap around your arm and the dart storage underneath will make reloading a breeze. The crossbow comes with 6 darts.
Additional NERF D&D toys include Holga’s Greataxe ($22.99) and Xenk’s Daggersword ($16.99). These are foam replicas of the weapons used in Honor Among Thieves.
There’s more NERF though! Under the NERF Rival name, there’s the Pilot XXIII-100 Blaster ($11.99) available exclusively through Walmart and the Forerunner XXIII-1200 Blaster ($27.99) available at most major retailers. The NERF Hyper line offers the Impulse-40 Blaster ($33.99) that can fire rounds at up to 110 ft/s! Finally, there’s the new NERF Sports Vortex Aero Howler Foam Football ($10.99). All of these products will be available in January 2023.
