Update on Marvel's FANTASTIC FOUR Film Project
Just yesterday we shared a rumor that Jennifer Lawrence had been cast in Marvel’s Fantastic Four. This is a rumor that I didn’t buy into, but I shared it for the sake of conversation. We now have an update on the project, which is nowhere near going into production.
According to Deadline’s Justin Kroll, Marvel hasn’t even hired any writers for the project yet, so there’s not even a script. Here’s the tweet that was sent out:
While the project isn’t even close to shooting, I’m sure Marvel at least has a list of actors that they will reach out to when they are ready. Maybe Lawrence is on this list, maybe she isn’t. It doesn’t even really matter, what matters is who ends up actually being officially cast in the film.
Spider-Man director Jon Watts is set to direct Fantastic Four, and when he’s done with Spider-Man 3, which is currently shooting, he’ll start work on Fantastic Four.
