US Air Force Chief Says Space Warfare Will Happen "In A Matter Of Years"

US Air Force Chief of Staff General David L. Goldfein believes the world will once again go to war, and when it does, he said it will be in space. Goldfein shared his belief with others at the Air Warfare Symposium on February 23 (via Gizmodo):

[It’s] time for us as a service, regardless of specialty badge, to embrace space superiority with the same passion and sense of ownership as we apply to air superiority today. I believe we’re going to be fighting from space in a matter of years, and we are the service that must lead joint warfighting in this new contested domain. This is what the nation demands.

Wow, strong words from Goldfein. A world where countries take each other on using weapons from space sounds like a sci-fi dream even now, so its crazy to think someone near the top of the military thinks its only years away.
