US Trailer For the Israeli Netflix Series BAD BOY From the Creator of the Original EUPHORIA

Netflix has released the first US trailer for the upcoming Israeli series, Bad Boy, from the original creators of the Israeli version of Euphoria, Ron Leshem , who co-created, co-wrote and served as showrunner on the series, with filmmaker Hagar Ben-Asher.

The script was written by Daniel Amsel, Daniel Chen, Amit Cohen, Roee Florentin, Moshe Malka, Adi Samarias, and Guy Zach. All of the episodes are directed by Hagar Ben-Asher.

This series originally premiered in 2023 at the Toronto Film Festival, and was picked up by Netflix there. Bad Boy stars Daniel Chen, Havtamo Farda, Neta Plotnik, and Guy Manster.

The synopsis reads: “Bad Boy tells the powerful story of Dean Scheinman (starring Guy Manster), a teenager imprisoned in a juvenile detention facility.

“Offering a gripping exploration of youth, redemption, brotherhood, friendship, the series follows Dean’s narrative from imprisonment to discovering his unique creative ability to heal deep wounds.”

This looks like a very interesting, but also really sad watch. Similarly to Euphoria, sometimes it’s better to continue not knowing what’s going on with young people in scary situations. It looks like another series that might be a hit with Netflix viewers though.

Check out the trailer below, and watch Bay Boy when it’s released on Netflix on May 2nd.
