VALERIAN Will Have 600 More Visual Effects Shots Than ROGUE ONE

Valerian will have 600 more visual effects shots than Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and that's pretty phenomenal. THR says that number totals up to 2,355 visual effects shots, which doesn't surprise actress Cara Delevingne who shares some details behind the filming below:

"We were filming basically every day in front of a bluescreen. Out of six months, only two weeks were under normal circumstances."

Considering the amount of alien creatures, special effects, and planet jumping, it's not all that surprising they used a lot of blue screen for this film! Let's just hope that the extensive CG doesn't weigh too heavy on the audience, although from what I've seen so far that doesn't seem like it will be an issue. Valerian opens July 21st.
