VALLEY GIRL Musical Remake Takes Us Back to Being Young and in Love in L.A.
We’ve got an incredibly fun trailer for you guys to check out for the musical remake of the 1983 movie Valley Girl, which originally starred Nicolas Cage.
This new musical version stars Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day) and Josh Whitehouse (The Knight Before Christmas) as two teens from opposite sides of the tracks who fall in love at a party. It has a definite Romeo and Juliet/Pretty In Pink vibe, but with a rockin’ 80s soundtrack, up against the Los Angeles skyline.
The film also stars Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) as Karen, Logan Paul (Airplane Mode) as Mickey, Jessie Ennis (Mystic Quest: Raven’s Banquet) as Stacey, Ashleigh Murray (Riverdale) as Loryn, and Mae Whitman (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World). Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) also stars as the adult version of Julie.
This looks like a really fun new take on an age old story, with fantastic music. Check out the trailer below, and catch Valley Girl on Digital on May 8th.
