Vanessa Hudgens is set to reprise her role in the upcoming film Bad Boys 4 and she will star alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Hudgens will take on the role of the weapons expert named Kelly.

Sony Pictures confirmed that the sequel is in early pre-production with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah set to return to direct after their Batgirl movie was scrapped by Warner Bros. The script for the movie is being written by Chris Bremner.

There are still no plot details to share, but I imagine it will be more of the same with the comedy and big action sequences. The film is said to start filming within the next few months.

The last film in the franchise, Bad Boys For Life, was a decent and entertaining flick and I imagine this next movie will be in line with how good that was. I don’t really need to see any more Bad Boys movies, but maybe this one will do something different and unexpected.

Jerry Bruckheimer is also back producing the film.
