VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Will Only Be Delivering PG-13 Carnage
According to Film Ratings, Sony Pictures’ upcoming Marvel film Venom: Let There Be Carnage has officially been given a PG-13 rating from the MPAA. This isn’t surprising as the first movie was PG-13, but some fans thought maybe with Carnage being thrown into the mix, it might have pushed things to an R-rating. But, we will only be getting PG-13 carnage.
The film will feature “intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material, and suggestive references.” I’ve seen some fans upset of the rating, but in the end, all that matters is if the movie tells a good story. Hopefully director Andy Serkis and writer Kelly Marcel are able to pull that off.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage sees the return of Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel’s most complex characters. He will be joined by Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Peggy Lu. It will also feature Woody Harrelson as the maniacal serial killer Cletus Kasady/Carnage, Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison/Shriek, and Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan.
The movie is set to hit theaters on October 15th!
