Video: 24 Ways GHOSTBUSTERS (1984) and GHOSTBUSTERS (2016) Are Different
Couch Tomato is back with a new 24 Reasons video, but he's switching things up this time. Instead of counting down only the elements that two films have in common, here he's listing aspects that are different between Ghostbusters (1984) and this year's "controversial" film Ghostbusters: Answer the Call.
Personally, I don't agree with a lot of his characterizations here. Example: he claims that the female Ghostbusters "just want attention, and prefer everyone watch" them capture the ghost during the scene at the rock concert, and I simply don't think that's true at all. I think they just didn't have the time or the ability to clear the room first. Still, even though the video ostensibly points out differences between the two films, it also manages to do a pretty good job of following Couch Tomato's normal MO because while there are a handful of differences here, there are also plenty of similarities that can't be ignored.
