Video Breakdown of Every Easter Egg and Reference in THE BATMAN

Thanks to Screen Crush, we have a video for you to watch that breaks down every Easter egg and reference in director Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

When I initially watched the movie, I wasn’t really looking for any Easter eggs or anything. I was just enjoying the film and the story as it unfolded. Sure, there were a few things that I noticed, but this video points out a good amount of things that you might not have caught while watching the film.

The Batman brings us into the grimiest, ugliest Gotham City that we’ve ever seen on screen–and we love it. The movie is packed with Easter Eggs and References to some of the greatest Batman stories of all time: The Long Halloween, Year One, The Court of Owls, Earth One, Year Zero, Dark Knight Returns, and many more. There are also nods to past Batman movies like the Dark Knight and Joker–as well as great cinema–such as Chinatown, Zodiac, Se7en, the Maltese Falcon, the French Connection, and many more.
