Video Essay Explores SICARIO's Morality (or Lack Thereof)
Denis Villeneuve's cartel thriller Sicario is a tense, ruthless movie that was one of the most fascinating films of last year. A new video essay from the team at Digging Deeper takes a deep dive into the film's symbolism, analyzing its themes through the use of color and transparency. I only saw the film once in theaters and didn't make a lot of these connections myself the first time through, but watching this essay has increased my respect for it even more.
