Video Essay Highlights Effective Editing of THE MATRIX
YouTuber Patrick (H) Willems has crafted a nice video essay that pays tribute to one of the least talked-about aspects of The Wachowskis' brilliant 1999 movie The Matrix: its editing. The ambitious movie has a ton of ground to cover in two hours, and while it could have used more standard techniques to switch from scene to scene, it often utilizes transitions that progress the story or inform the audience about either the world or the characters within it.
