Video Essay: The Evolution of Gotham City
In film, television, comics, games, and beyond, Gotham City is Batman's home. The Dark Knight is inextricably tied to it, drawn to fight its evil forces and continue his "crusade" that gives him one of his many nicknames ("The Caped Crusader"). But even with the live-action Fox TV series currently airing, how often do you really stop to think about Gotham as a city and how it's been depicted over the years?
The Nerdwriter has a new seven minute video that tracks the history of how the city has appeared through the course of its 70 year history, and I think most Batman fans will get a kick out of it.
