Video Essay: Why MULHOLLAND DR. is David Lynch's Most Essential Film

I just finished watching the first two seasons of Twin Peaks and Fire Walk With Me, so I'm on a bit of a David Lynch kick right now. I noticed a night or two ago that his 2001 film Mulholland Dr. is streaming right now on Netflix; I've only seen that movie once, and with it recently earning praise from a huge critic poll as the best movie of the 21st century so far, I figured it was worth another watch, so I added it to my queue. This video essay from Fandor makes me want to rewatch it immediately, because it argues that the film is the most essential movie of Lynch's career and that all his other films explored smaller versions of ideas captured in full in Mulholland Dr.
