Good points for both arguments, but ultimately I fall on the first film for The Flash being one of his most important storylines where he resets the timeline is a big mistake. Hell the Flashpoint on The CW was spotty at best to accurately tell over the course of a season...let alone a couple hour movie. What are your thoughts on the idea?
