Scientists can provide their best hypothesis for how the Sun came to be where it is today, but in truth, they have no way of knowing how it actually got there. That's kind of weird and evidence of just how little we know about space. In all seriousness though, perhaps we should stop working on huge telescopes to observe other galaxies until we're done getting to know our own!
