Video Explores The Popular Christmas Toys From The 1980s and 1990s
We already shared a video that explored the popular Christmas toys from the 1960s and 1970s, which was fun to see. Rhetty for History has now released a new video, and this one puts a focus on the popular Christmas toys from the 1980s and 1990s.
The holiday season is usually when we reflect back on the year and think about everything we experienced. It’s also a time when we think back to our childhood and remember that magical time at Christmas and the special gifts we recieved.
This list includes Rubik’s Cube, Cabbage Patch Kids, Transformers, Teddy Ruxpin, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Game Boy, Troll dolls, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sega Genesis, Beanie Babies, Tamagotchi, Pokémon, Furby, and Tickle Me Elmo, just to name a few.
I remember getting a few of these things for Christmas over the years. A couple of my favorites were the Game Boy and Sega Genesis.
