Video: See Ennio Morricone Conducting His THE HATEFUL EIGHT Score

Legendary composer Ennio Morricone's score for The Hateful Eight almost strikes me more as a horror score than something you'd normally hear in a western. But it totally works for the movie, and it was one of the few Oscar nominations the film garnered this morning. Considering how Morricone just won a Golden Globe for best score, chances are high that the 87-year-old could take home the Oscar in the same category next month. He's been awarded an Honorary Oscar before, but never won one in a competitive situation, and The Academy loves to bestow the top prize to older contenders in a sort of "late lifetime achievement" scenario.

A new video has emerged of writer/director Quentin Tarantino introducing Morricone, who conducts the Czech Symphony Orchestra as QT and star Kurt Russell watch from a distance. It's a short video, but worth checking out if you're a fan of Morricone's or The Hateful Eight.
