Watch BACK TO THE FUTURE Stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd Reunite at New York Comic-Con
This past weekend at New York Comic-Con, fans got to see a panel dedicated to the legacy of the Back to the Future film trilogy and franchise. The panel saw the reunion of the films’ stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
The pair were asked to look back at the experience of making the three films together, and Lloyd talked about finding out mid-shoot that the first film’s original star, Eric Stoltz, was being replaced by Fox:
"The announcement – at one o' clock in the morning after we were shooting for six weeks – was that the actor playing Marty would no longer be playing Marty, and that tomorrow, we would start shooting with Michael," Lloyd said during the panel (per SYFY). "I felt that I barely made it through the [first] six weeks and now I was gonna have to do it again?!"
Fox went on in the panel to praise Lloyd's performance in the films and talked about what it was like to work opposite him, saying:
"All I had to do was just react. Just take it in and let it wash over me. I thought he was brilliant. That was the whole thing: be with Chris and let it be Chris, and enjoy it ... It was a thrill. Anytime I got to work with him, I knew it was gonna be a good day."
This reunion is so heartwarming. Those movies are favorites of ours here at GeekTyrant, as well as many of yours, I’m sure. Check out the video of Fox and Lloyd below, and go watch Back to the Future afterward! Each film in the trilogy is currently streaming on Peacock.
