VIDEO: You Know It's a Quentin Tarantino Film If...

We’ve got a fun video for you to check out today that highlights some fan favorite aspects of a true Quentin Tarantino film. The video is made by The Take, where fans of movies and TV can find video essays on all sorts of subjects. This one takes a deep dive on the signature style that makes a Tarantino film so unique.

Some of the aspects pointed out in the film to help you know you’re watching a Tarantino film are:

-It steals. Tarantino is vocal about the fact that artists don’t pay homage to one another. They steal. This part of the video shows a lot of side-by-side comparison between shots from his films, and films he loves.
-It’s a bloodbath. Pretty self-explanatory.
-It’s wordy. Tarantino blatantly breaks the rule of only using dialogue that moves the story or character development forward. His conversations are often about inane things, but you’ve got to love them. They’re fun!
-He uses familiar faces, code names, and bare feet.
-It’s a secret western, and/or a musical.
-It’s a non-linear structure where anything can happen. And that’s the fun of a Tarantino flick!

There are lots more bullet points, and I recommend you watch the whole video to hear them all. I love Quentin Tarantino and his films. He takes me away to another place, and I always enjoy the ride. Enjoy the video below, and let us know which Tarantino film is your favorite! Mine was Django Unchained, but it just got replaced by Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood.
