Viggo Mortensen Wrote, Directed, and Starred in a Film Titled FALLING; Here's The Trailer
The Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen has made his directorial debut with a new film titled Falling, which he also wrote and stars in. The cast of the film also includes Sverrir Gudnason, Laura Linney, Hannah Gross, and David Cronenberg.
Mortensen plays John Peterson in the story, ”a gay man whose conservative and homophobic father Willis (Henriksen) starts to exhibit symptoms of dementia, forcing him to sell the family farm and move to Los Angeles to live with John and his husband Eric (Terry Chen).”
The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to mixed reviews. There’s no U.S. release date yet, but it will be released in France on November 4th. Check out the trailer below. It looks like it could be a heartfelt drama.
