VIKINGS Star Katheryn Winnick Set to Star Opposite Ryan Phillippe in ABC Drama Series THE BIG SKY From David E. Kelley
Vikings actress Katheryn Winnick is set to star in the upcoming ABC drama series The Big Sky opposite Ryan Phillippe (Crash, Shooter). The series is based on the book The Highway by C.J. Box, which is the first in the Cassie Dewell series of novels. The Big Sky is being adapted by David E. Kelley, who has created an incredible amount of hit series, like Ally McBeal, The Practice, and Big Little Lies.
Here’s the synopsis from Deadline:
In the procedural thriller, private detective Cassie Dewell partners with ex-cop Jenny Hoyt (Winnick) on a search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken.
Winnick joins Phillippe as well as the previously cast John Carroll Lynch (Fargo, American Horror Story) and Dedee Pfeiffer (Up Close and Personal, Cybill). This sounds like an interesting and exciting story with a solid cast and writer. I will be checking it out for sure. Are you intrigued?
