Vikings Star Travis Fimmel Joins WARCRAFT

Movie WarcraftCasting by Joey Paur

Vikings star Travis Fimmel has been cast in one of the lead roles in Duncan Jones' big screen adaptation of Blizzard's World of Warcraft. There are four leads in the movie, and it was previously reported that Colin Ferrell and Paula Patton were in talks to join the film as well. Fimmel is pretty awesome on Vikings, and Warcraft seems like the perfect film project for him.

There's no official information on the story for the film, but it was previously rumored that the "film’s story is not an adaptation of World of Warcraft, and instead takes place around the events of the first couple of Warcraft games, ‘real time strategy’ classics of the mid-90s." The Warcraft universe is a rich fantasy setting that revolves around the epic conflict between the opposing forces of the Horde and the Alliance.

Jones will start shooting Warcraft on January 13, 2014, and I have no doubt in my mind that it's going to be amazing, especially if it ends up looking like the test footage shown at Comic-Con.
