Vin Deisel Seemingly Announces That John Cena Will Join FAST & FURIOUS 9

With Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs & Shaw film preparing to be released, Vin Diesel and director Justin Lin are getting Fast & Furious 9 ready for production.

Diesel Recently posted a video on Instagram which seemingly announces that John Cena has joined the cast of the film. He doesn’t come right out and say it, but it’s very implied that that is the case.

Here’s what Diesel says in the video:

"Guys, as you know I’m always thinking fast and thinking about the responsibility of making something iconic. I know this sounds crazy, but every blue moon I feel like Pablo up there sends me someone, another soldier for the fight for truth... and today someone came by the Toretto Gym that speaks to what Pablo would’ve brought me."

He then pans over to show Cena is with him and he waves at the camera. Just in case you’re wondering who “Pablo” is, that’s the Nick Name that he’s been using for the late Paul Walker.

Cena is certainly a perfect fit for the franchise, and it totally makes sense that he would eventually join this action-packed franchise. He will join Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and several of the other usual suspects in the film.

Dwayne Johnson has said that he isn’t sure if he’ll return for Fast & Furious 9, but it won’t surprise me if he doesn’t, especially after all the drama that his Hobbs & Shaw spinoff film has caused in the past.

What do you think about Cena jumping into the F&F franchise?
