Vin Diesel Offers Update on RIDDICK 4, Saying the Script Is Nearly Finished
Vin Diesel took to Instagram recently to offer an update on Riddick 4: Furya. He revealed that the script for the film is nearly finished: "The latest Chronicles of Riddick script comes in next week." I assume this is a new draft of the script because last year the actor said the script was finished.
The script was written by franchise creator David N. Twohy, who will also return to direct the fourth chapter of the franchise when it eventually goes into development.
Furya is the name of Riddick's homeworld, and this next film is said to serve as an origin story for Diesel’s character. Twohy previously said that the film would be a prequel that gives a sense of the character's history.
I’ve enjoyed the Riddick films that have been made, and I’ll be looking forward to watching this fourth installment. There’s also been talk of Riddick TV series titled Merc City, but there’s been no information on that.
