Vin Diesel Wants Dwayne Johnson to Fulfill His Destiny and Come Back for FAST & FURIOUS 10
Dwayne Johnson played the role of Hobbs in the Fast & Furious film franchise from the fifth film, Fast Five in 2011, to the eighth film, The Fate of the Furious in 2017. During that film, he had a dispute with co-star Vin Diesel that was made public and pushed the two actors to part ways.
Johnson went on to film a Fast & Furious spinoff movie with Jason Statham titled Hobbs & Shaw, and Johnson has talked about making a sequel to that film, but it seemed as though Johnson was through with the main films.
Now it looks like he will have something to consider as his old friend Vin Diesel has issued a public plea for Johnson to return for the tenth film in the franchise, Fast & Furious 10, which is set to release in 2023. There’s no telling if this will be the pathway to mending the fractured relationship between the two men, but it sounds sincere, so hopefully it helps. Diesel said:
“My little brother Dwayne... the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don't send well wishes... but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love... but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can't be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny."
