Vin Diesel Shares Positive Update on Franchise Finale FAST X: PART 2 After Cancelation Rumors

Vin Diesel has built his career around the Fast and Furious franchise, which has been set to wrap up with the follow-up to Fast X (2023), Fast X: Part 2.

The film has hit several road blocks in funding, and despite being announced in 2023 with a projected 2025 release date, the year is almost over, and it was recently reported that the film didn’t even have a finalized script.

But Diesel has a new update for fans that seems to point to everything heading in the right direction for the final film. In a post on the actor’s Instagram, he shared several photos and a video of his recent meeting with Universal chief marketing officer Michael Moses.

In the images, Diesel is seen wearing a shirt that reads “Fast X Part 2 Los Angeles Production 2025,” and the video features an encouraging message from Moses, who is seen riding alongside Diesel in a golf cart. “I’m drifting with Dom Toretto, planning everything, we got it solved,” Moses said, as the pair laugh and give thumbs up to the camera.

It looks like Diesel is the driving force behind getting this movie made, and they seemingly made some strides in getting the film a bit closer to production. At this point, it seems silly to drag their feet in making the film. At this point, it’s been a money making franchise, and they should see it through to the end.
