Vin Diesel Teases That FAST AND FURIOUS 10 Could Be Split Into Two Parts
For the past couple of years, we’ve been hearing that the plan was to close out the Fast and Furious franchise with a 10th film. The cast is signed on for that tenth movie, and Justin Lin is returning to direct it. Well, it sounds like 10 films could turn into 11!
During a recent interview with Total Film, Vin Deisel teased that Fast and Furious 10 could end up being split into two parts. The actor explained:
“I started planning for Fast 10 before we started filming Fast 9. Very much so. The universe is so robust and so rich with talent and rich with story that, on one level, it’s totally feasible to have spinoffs, and I think that’s something that is inevitable. Universal deserves it because of how much they’ve invested in this little saga, and it’d be good to give back to Universal. And for the fans, should Fast 10 parts one and two be the conclusion, it would be nice for this world to continue for generations to come.”
We know there are spinoffs coming. Hobbs and Shaw is one of them, and we also know that there is going to be a female-led Fast and Furious spinoff. I imagine there are other ideas being developed as well that have yet to be announced. This has been such a lucrative franchise for Universe that I imagine they aren’t looking to give up on it anytime soon. It wouldn’t surprise me if the 10th film ended up being split into two parts. There’s more money to be made that way!
I’ve enjoyed the Fast and Furious films. It’s been interesting to see how they’ve evolved over the years and how insanely over-the-top they’ve become. They certainly do provide action-packed entertainment!
