Vin Diesel has been hired on to star in Mattel’s big screen adaptation of the popular kids game Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em, which features battling robots looking to knock each other’s heads off.

Diesel, whose production company One Race Films is working on the project with Universal Pictures, said of the project:

“To take the classic Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em game, with Mattel as my partner, and align it with the kind of world-building, franchise-making success we have had with Universal, is truly exciting.”
