Vin Diesel Wants a FAST AND FURIOUS Musical and Parts 10 and 11 Will Shoot Back-To-Back
Do any of you Fast and Furious fans out there want a Fast and Furious musical? Well, Vin Diesel does! During a recent interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the actor was asked about the possibility of doing a musical spinoff, and this was his reply:
“I’m dying to do a musical, so yes, I would!”
He went on to talk about how he was close to doing a Guys and Dolls film with director Steven Spielberg, so doing a musical is something he’s been open to doing in the past. Bringing a musical element to the Fast and Furious franchise would be super weird, though.
I know the franchise is playing around with all kinds of ridiculous ideas and concepts, but I just don’t see how a musical would work. Even if it did, I wouldn’t be interested in watching it. I doubt it will ever happen, but you just never know with this franchise! Maybe someone will adapt it into a Broadway musical one day!
In a separate interview with Regal, Diesel confirmed that the final two installments of the franchise will start filming next year and they will be shot back-to-back.
"I'm doing Fast 10 Part 1 and Part 2, the finale of the saga, in January.”
I doubt either of those will be musicals, so I think we’re safe. F9 is currently out in theaters and while it’s not the best film in the franchise, it’s still fun to watch!
