Vince Vaughn and Liam Hemsworth Join Clark Duke's Drug Runner Film ARKANSAS
Hot Tub Time Machine and Kick-Ass star Clark Duke is set to direct his first feature film based on a script that he wrote called Arkansas. Duke is best known for the comedies that he’s starred in over the years, but his new film project is not a comedy. He’s also cast Vince Vaughn, Liam Hemsworth, and himself in the film.
The story follows a pair of low level drug runners in the Dixie Mafia, portrayed by Hemsworth and Duke, “who live by the orders of an Arkansas-based drug kingpin, played by Vaughn, whom they’ve never met. But when a deal goes horribly wrong, deadly consequences ensue.”
I like the setting of the film and the premise and I hope that it turns out good! I’m a fan of the team of talent that has been brought on board, and I’m curious to see how the movie turns out.
Principal photography begins this week in Alabama. Hemsworth most recently completed production on the action-thriller Killerman and will next be seen in February opposite Rebel Wilson in the romantic comedy Isn’t It Romantic. Vaughn on the other hand recently starred in S. Craig Zahler’s Dragged Across Concrete opposite Mel Gibson.
