Vince Vaughn To Star in a New Action Adventure Comedy For Netflix That's in The Spirit of CITY SLICKERS and OLD SCHOOL
Netflix is set to produce a new ensemble action-adventure comedy in which Vince Vaughn will play one of the three major leads. There are no plot details to share of the untitled film, but it’s said the project “will be in the spirit of City Slickers and Old School, with an ensemble cast designed for Vaughn and several other comedy stars.” As a fan of both of those films, I’m looking forward to seeing how this new movie turns out.
The script for the film comes Anders Holm, who produces and stars in Workaholics. He is also a writer and producer of the series Game Over Man! The project will be produced by Ready Player One‘s Dan Farah and Peter Billingsley, who is a long-time collaborator with Vaughn, who directed him in Couples Retreat.
Vaughn will also reunite with Netflix Head of Film Scott Stuber, who produced Vaughn’s The Break-Up and Couples Retreat. Vaughn most recently starred in director Craig Zahler’s Dragged Across Concrete with Mel Gibson, and the wrestling film Fighting With My Family, opposite Dwayne Johnson. Both those movies were great! He can next be seen in Amazon’s Seberg in December and is also set to star in a body-swapping thriller for Blumhouse.
