Vincent D'Onofrio Thinks a JOKER-Style KINGPIN Movie Would Be "Awesome"
A lot of Daredevil fans have been hoping to see the return of the series at some point now that Disney has the rights back to the characters. While we have no idea what Marvel Studios’ future plans are with Daredevil, star Vincent D'Onofrio who played Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin in the series would love to play the villainous character again.
During a recent interview, the actor was asked if a Joker-style Kingpin film would work and be something of interest, he said that he thinks it would be awesome. He told CB in a recent interview:
"Yeah, I mean, I think that'd be awesome. I think there's more to do with him, but you just never know it's [Marvel] such an intense company. Because when I think of Marvel, I think of so many storylines, it's like you think of DC, it's the same thing. There are so many stories. I can't imagine being in that chair trying to figure out which ones are the ones to be told next. And that's how I look at it, as a creative person. I see it much bigger than just my part. I just see it as these huge opportunities."
I think that the character of Kingpin got a great set-up and story arc in Daredevil, but of course, I’d be open to seeing a movie to explore the character even more! However, as interesting as it sounds to see a dark Joker-style Kingpin movie, I seriously doubt that is something Marvel Studios would want to make. What do you all think?
