VISIONQUEST Fans Uncover a Fun AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Easter Egg You Probably Missed

Marvel fans have spotted a sneaky little Easter egg in VisionQuest that could have big implications for Avengers: Doomsday. It’s the kind of detail you could easily miss while watching, but once you see it, you have to wonder what Marvel is planning.

The discovery comes from Episode 2 of the Disney+ series, where eagle-eyed viewers noticed a DVD case sitting in Ultron’s room with the words “Countdown to Doom” printed on it.

That’s a pretty interesting choice of words, especially with Doctor Doom preparing to make his grand entrance in Avengers: Doomsday.

Of course, this could simply be a bit of dark humor from Ultron, but given Marvel’s history of planting clues throughout its projects, fans are understandably wondering whether there's something more to it.

What makes the discovery even more interesting is that VisionQuest is the final MCU project arriving before Avengers: Doomsday, with the series debuting just two months ahead of the massive Marvel crossover.

The show also brings an important chapter of the MCU to a close. It serves as the conclusion to the story that began with WandaVision and continued through Agatha All Along, making it a potentially important piece of Marvel's larger plans.

The series brings back Paul Bettany as White Vision, who is still struggling to understand his identity after the events of WandaVision.

Fans will remember that Vision was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War back in 2018. He eventually returned when S.W.O.R.D. rebuilt his body, creating the White Vision we now follow in VisionQuest.

Despite his return to the MCU, Marvel hasn't confirmed whether Vision will appear in Avengers: Doomsday or any other upcoming film.

There's also the introduction of an adult Tommy Maximoff, who still possesses his super-speed abilities. With Tommy and Billy Maximoff both part of the MCU, fans are hoping the Maximoff family will eventually reunite. That possibility becomes even more intriguing when you consider what Marvel has coming after Doomsday.

Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to bring together even more Marvel characters, including some who might not appear in Doomsday. Vision, Tommy, and Billy could potentially be among them, assuming they make it through the events of VisionQuest.

For now, there's no confirmation that the “Countdown to Doom” Easter egg has any direct connection to Doctor Doom or the upcoming Avengers movies.

Still, it's a fun little discovery that raises some interesting questions about how VisionQuest might connect to the next major chapter of the MCU.

VisionQuest is now streaming on Disney+.
