VIZ Media Has Announced the Dub Casting for SAILOR MOON SAILOR STARS

Sailor Moon Sailor Stars was a season of the hit anime that has yet to make its way to the West with a dub. I remember watching it a long time ago when my brother borrowed some DVDs from someone and I thought it was amazing, and I think I know why it never got a dub.

You see, three new Sailor Scouts were introduced called the Sailor Stars and they were a boyband by day and when they transformed, they turned into women. Not exactly something most channels for children would put out. That being said, this is also the show that turned lesbian lovers into cousins because somehow two cousins being totally into each other is better?

Well times are a-changing and VIZ Media is going to give us all the dub we’ve been waiting for. For many, this will be their first time watching the season that I think had a very interesting storyline.

Sailor Moon and the Sailor Guardians are about to face their greatest challenge yet—high school! But as the girls take their next big step in life and Chibi-Usa prepares to return to the future, a mysterious force frees the evil Queen Nehalennia! While the struggle to contain her old enemy will be difficult, it may be Mamoru’s year of studying abroad that hurts Usagi the most. But there’s even more to take Usagi’s mind off of long-distance love with the arrival of the villainous Sailor Anima Mates and the heroic Sailor Star Lights! Who could be behind this new wave of evil? And why are the Star Lights resistant to working with Sailor Moon? Usagi has her hands full, but she’ll always make time to write a love letter to her beloved Mamo.

As you can see in the tweet below, the casting includes Erika Harlacher, Melissa Hutchison, Carrie Keranen, Stephanie Sheh, and Sarah Williams. The first part of the season is available for pre-order from Amazon, Best Buy, RightStuf, Target, and Wal-Mart with a release date of June 18. Will you be watching?
