Vote for Your Favorite Books in the Goodreads Choice Awards

Goodreads has opened up voting for the Goodreads Choice Awards this year. These are the only major book awards chosen by readers, not critics, and in 2019, 4.6 million votes were cast.

Voting for the first round is underway until November 8 followed by the semi-finals from November 10-15 and then the finals will run from November 17-30. In order to be eligible, a book must be published between November 16, 2019, and November 17, 2020. The books for the opening round were selected by the Goodreads editorial team which used various statistics including ratings and reviews (the minimum criteria was a 3.5 rating) to narrow the list of millions of books down to 15 per category.

What have some of your favorite books of the year been? I loved Shadow of Kyoshi and the Animorphs: The Invasion graphic novel personally as well as pretty much all of the Power Rangers comics.
