Wacky Promo Spot For DAVID S. PUMPKINS ANIMATED HALLOWEEN SPECIAL - "Any Questions?"
The first promo spot has been released for SNL and Tom Hanks' David S. Pumpkins Animated Halloween Special. The promo is called "Any Questions" and it certainly leaves you with plenty. I'm always up for a fun new animated Halloween Special and this one was inspired by the “Haunted Elevator” sketch from the Oct. 22, 2016 SNL episode. It featured Hanks as mystery man David S. Pumpkins, on an elevator wearing a pumpkin suit and surrounded by two skeleton dancers, who were played by Mikey Day and Bobby Moynihan.
All the actors will reprise their roles as these characters and it will also include the voice of Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
The story for the special is set in a small suburban town on All Hallows’ Eve and it "centers on David Pumpkins and his skeleton sidekicks who show a young boy and his sister the true meaning of Halloween, answering none of their questions along the way."
David S. Pumpkins is such a wonderfully strange and silly character, which is probably why the sketch ended up being the big hit that it was. Just watch, if this animated Halloween special ends up being a big success, next year we'll get a David S. Pumpkins feature film!
