Waifus and Rainbows and Dark World, YU-GI-OH!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) fans have three great products to look forward to this holiday season. Already released was the Magnificent Mavens Holiday Box.

This box contains new cards for Sky Striker, Witchcrafter, and Mayakashi decks, plus new cards inspired by Ishizu Ishtar in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime are included. Those last ones are surprisingly pertinent as they’re making waves in the competitive scene when paired with Tearlaments.

This is an all-foil set with 103 Ultra Rare cards to gather plus six of those will be available in Pharaoh’s Rare. That’s not all though as 12 reprints are in the set exclusively as Pharaoh’s Rare cards. Each box comes with 4 packs (5 cards each) and 1 pack of 70 card sleeves!

That’s enough sleeves for your Main, Side, and Extra Decks (if you run a 40-card Main). You can purchase Magnificent Mavens now for $24.99 from your favorite retailers.

The next release will be on November 18 with Battles of Legend: Crystal Revenge. This is a set that will try to bring the Crystal Beasts from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX into relevancy with the debut of the Advanced Crystal Beasts. Maybe wiuth these new cards and the recent structure deck, Jesse Anderson fans will get their wish? Also, Royal Straight Slasher will be a new boss monster for the 3 Musketeers of Face Cards archetype. Oh, and Accesscode Talker, Borreload Savage Dragon, Toon Black Luster Soldier, and more are being reprinted in the set. Each pack will cost $4.19 and have 5 cards (4 Ultra Rares, 1 Secret Rare).

Finally, Dark World fans will have fun this December as Structure Deck: Dark World is released on December 2. You’ll use Grapha, Dragon Overlord of Dark World to crush “your opponent’s monsters and hijack their card effects.” You’ll also have Reign-Beaux, Overking of Dark World to help get your monsters ont eh field. It sounds like Dark World fans are in for an exciting time, escpecially with some great reprints like Skill Drain, Deck Devastation Virus, and Paleozoic Dinomischus. You’ll be able to enjoy Structure Deck: Dark World on December 2 for $11.99 with 37 Commons, 3 Super Rares, and 5 Ultra Rares.
