WALKING DEAD Actor Describes Season 8 as a Schwarzenegger Vs. Stallone Film
The Walking Dead is about to get a lot more action-packed in its eighth season, that's according to series regular Seth Gilliam who is comparing the upcoming season to "a Schwarzenegger versus Stallone action thing from the ’80s." Gilliam:
"I think there are, like, 10 explosions an episode. Every time you turn around, somebody’s shooting something or blowing something up. There’s some serious action that I don’t think we’ve seen on television since The A-Team went off the air.”
The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman says the coming season will be "a more fast-paced season, a more action-packed season" focusing on momentum and seven seasons worth of payoffs. Dwight actor Austin Amelio told Entertainment Weekly:
“It’s a f—king in-your-face action-packed IV of adrenaline. Season 7 was the ramp-up and now this is the blastoff. The stuff that’s happening is insane!”
For most Walking Dead fans Season 7 was one of the most disappointing of the hit zombie drama. Now that Rick, Maggie, Ezekiel and their respective communities have teamed up to make their first strike against Negan's clan, The Walking Dead will most likely see the show become what it used to be.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 22.
