Walt Disney World Bans Eating and Drinking While Walking Around with Masks On
Honestly, I don’t see the point of going to a theme park during these times. There are so many rules and restrictions that have been put in place that I don’t see how anyone could have a fun time! Paying all that money to go with so many restrictions in place just seems ridiculous to me.
One of the latest things that have been banned at Walt Disney World is eating and drinking while walking around the park. They want people to keep their masks on. So, don’t expect to enjoy a lovely stroll around the park while eating your Dole Whip or snacking on a Mickey ice cream bar.
According to WDWNT, guests are “being asked to stop and remain stationary, standing off to the side, while consuming drinks and snacks. While moving throughout the park, masks must remain on.”
A cast member at EPCOT talked about the new rule, saying, “guests are now being asked to find a safe spot six feet from other guests before removing their masks to eat and drink.” Some of those safe spots can be found at the “relaxation stations” that have been placed at every Walt Disney World theme park. Once inside these stations, guests may remove their face covering and have a socially-distanced sit-down.
I won’t be going to any theme park anytime soon. I’ll gladly wait until they are opened back up fully and normal so that I will get my money’s worth and actually be able to enjoy myself.
