Walton Goggins Will Play the Villain in Alicia Vikander's TOMB RAIDER Film
Walton Goggins is going to join MGM and GK Films' upcoming feature film reboot of Tomb Raider! I've been a fan of the actor since he starred in The Shield. Since then he's been involved with a ton of great projects like Lincoln, Justified, The Hateful Eight, and most recently, Vice Principals.
According to the Variety, he will be playing the villain in the film. There's no word on who that villain will be, but Goggins has what it take to bring any kind of villainous character to life.
The actor joins Alicia Vikander in the film, who is taking on the role of Lara Croft. I think she's going to be freakin' awesome in the movie, and I'm excited to see her portrayal of the adventurous character.
The new Tomb Raider movie was inspired by the most recent released video games that focus on the origin of the character. There's also a possibility that she may be on the hunt for her missing father. It's being directed by Norwegian director Roar Uthaug (The Wave), and MGM will release it in theaters on March 16, 2018.
