WANDAVISION Director Says the Finale Might Disappoint Some Marvel Fans but It Will Be "Surprising" and "Satisfying"

The final episode of Marvel’s WandaVision drops later this week, and fans are excited to see how the series will come to an end. There are a lot of theories being discussed by fans and the director of the final episode, Matt Shakman, warns fans to temper expectations, especially for those who expect some of the theories to come to pass.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Shakman said, "I know there are so many theories out there; there will be a lot of people who will no doubt be disappointed by one theory or another.”

So, if you don’t expect any of those fan theories to play out in the finale, then you might not be disappointed. Some theories I’ve heard is that aerospace engineers are actually Skrulls and that Reed Richards will show up, there’s all kinds of theories revolving around Pietro, and there’s also been a lot of talk surrounding Paul Bettany sharing a scene with an actor he’s been dying to work with.

Regardless of not seeing certain theories play out in the finale, the director is confident that WandaVision will stick the landing. He explains, "We're always telling this story about Wanda dealing with grief and learning how to accept that loss, and hopefully people will find that the finale is surprising but also satisfying, and that it feels inevitable because it's the same story they've been watching the whole time."

I’ve just been enjoying the hell out of this series and while I love talking about the series, and there are theories that would be cool to see come to pass, I’m excited to see what the creative team will deliver for the finale and I’m actually thrilled about the surprising aspect about it. I hope the fans haven’t guessed what happens! I hope we get something completely unexpected!
