WANDAVISION is Going To Be a "Bonkers" Series That "Snowballs Into an Epic Marvel Movie That You’ve Grown to Know or Love”
There are a good amount of Marvel fans that don’t seem interested in Marvel’s upcoming WandaVision series. I’m personally very excited about it, especially because of where it’s headed and how it’s going to lead into Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness.
Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kat Dennings, Randall Park, and Kathryn Hahn recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly and PEOPLE to talk about the series and they tease that it’s going to be completely bonkers.
Olsen begins by saying, “It is a mash-up between American sitcoms throughout the decades and Marvel films with these characters.” Bettany then adds, “That’s where it starts, and then it sort of snowballs into an epic Marvel movie that you’ve grown to know or love.”
I’m intrigued and I can’t wait to see how this story plays out. One thing I’m pretty confident about is that Wanda will be reshaping reality in this story and I think it’s going to lead to her descent into madness. Olsen went on to express her excitement for the series, saying:
“Just from starting from Age of Ultron. The things that I’ve loved about the Scarlet Witch are things we’re getting to explore now. And I’m very nervous and excited about it in all the fun ways. But I think we finally get to go down some roads in comic books that are favorites and explore, and it’s going to be a wild ride.”
Bettany agreed, saying:
“I think there’s been a real progression in the characters and the relationship and to actually be able to spend the time on that. Each time there’s more exciting stuff for us to do.… The scripts we are reading so far are so bonkers.”
I’m actually surprised at how many people aren’t excited for this. Marvel Studios is on a role and I don’t think they aim to disappoint. I think they are going to deliver something with this that is going to surprise a hell of a lot of fans.
WandaVision debuts on Disney+ in Spring 2021.
