Want to Make a Feature Film? James Cullen Bressack and FilmQuest Are Giving You the Chance!

Have you ever dreamed of making your own feature film? Well, here’s your shot, and you’ll get $7,000 to do it.

FilmQuest, James Cullen Bressack, and Sandaled Kid Productions have joined forces to launch an exciting new opportunity for both up-and-coming and seasoned filmmakers. Through Bressack’s production company, filmmakers will receive $7K to create an entire feature film that’s guaranteed distribution and release.

This is called the Greenlight Initiative, and it’s the brainchild of James Cullen Bressack, who’s all about giving filmmakers the same kind of start he had when he made his first feature at just 18.

Bressack explained the vision behind the program, saying:

"I started the Greenlight Initiative to help filmmakers create their first feature like I did at 18, with the same budget, and to give a few seasoned directors a space to make bold, unique work.

“This year, I’ve partnered with Cleopatra Entertainment to select 12 filmmakers for original genre films, following last year’s collaboration with VChannels. I’m grateful to both companies for believing in the vision.

“This is for the dreamers who were told they couldn’t make a movie, I see you. I am you. Don’t let anyone say it’s impossible. I’m thrilled to present the final Greenlight of this year’s slate at FilmQuest, one of my favorite genre festivals I’ve had the honor to screen at in the past.”

The program has already seen success with the action-packed feature Penance, which made its world premiere at Fantastic Fest this fall, showing what can be done with creativity, grit, and just seven grand.
