War-Torn Poster Released for Christopher Nolan's Next Film DUNKIRK
The first poster has been released for Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated World War II film, Dunkirk. The poster features a soldier standing and looking at a war-torn beach. It looks like an absolutely terrifying scene.
The film was inspired by Operation Dynamo, which was a 1940 mission that freed over 300,000 Allied troops who were trapped by the Nazis in the French city of Dunkirk.
The film has been described as an "epic action thriller," and a heart-pounding teaser trailer was released a few months ago. The film has an incredible cast that includes Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, James D'Arcy, and Harry Styles.
Warner Bros. plans on screening seven minutes of the film in front of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with select screenings of 70mm IMAX screenings. I imagine a full trailer for the film will be released at the same time. I loved what I saw in the teaser, and I can't wait to see more footage from the film, which is sure to be another epic film from the acclaimed director.
Dunkirk hits theaters on July 21, 2017. I also included a teaser poster below that is done in the style of a propaganda poster.
